A metal mesh curtain wall is a non-structural facade system in which woven metal fabric is tensioned or framed in front of the building envelope. It is used where a solid curtain wall would block too much light or add too much dead load to the structure.
Gecho supplies the mesh element in stainless steel 304 and 316, aluminium, brass and copper, as rigid framed cassettes or as fabric tensioned between mullions. Because the fabric is light, the support structure can be slimmer than for glass or stone.
Typical projects are commercial office facades, car parks, stadiums and mixed-use buildings. Panels and tensioned fields are made to the curtain wall grid.
