Metal mesh sunshades are woven fabric panels fixed outside a glazed opening to reduce solar gain. The open area of the weave blocks direct sun while still allowing daylight and outward views, so the blinds inside are used less.
Gecho makes sunshades in stainless steel 304 and 316 and in aluminium, as fixed brise-soleil panels or as adjustable screens, with the mesh opening selected for the orientation of the elevation.
They are used on offices, schools and residential buildings, and are fabricated to the window or facade module.
