Wire Mesh Projects

Gecho’s woven wire mesh enhance both beauty and functionality of high-visibility structures across the country and around the world.
We collaborate with architects, designers and contractors to specify, customize and install woven metal into the build environment in ways that are both aesthetic and functional. Our woven wire mesh is beautiful and built to last, while providing a variety of functional applications.

Case studies

The projects below show the same material used in four very different ways — an exterior facade, an interior partition, a window treatment and a large atrium feature.

Bar — Facades

Woven metal mesh facade on a bar building at dusk

A woven metal mesh skin over the facade of a bar building, running across the upper storeys and around the corner return. The mesh screens the glazing behind it while keeping the building readable from the street, and it reads as a continuous surface rather than a set of separate panels.

Application: Exterior facade cladding
Product used: Architectural woven wire mesh

Beijing CNE — Partitions

Yellow and black metal coil drapery partition in a Beijing venue

Coloured metal coil drapery used as an interior partition screen. The linked coils form a semi-transparent curtain, so the space beyond stays visible and lit while the room is still divided, and the coloured finish makes the screen itself part of the interior scheme.

Application: Interior partition screen
Product used: Metal Coil Drapery

Haagen Dazs — Mesh Curtain

Metal mesh curtain used as a window screen in a Haagen Dazs store

A metal mesh curtain hung as a window treatment inside a Haagen Dazs store. It sits on a top track, folds like a textile and filters daylight across the full height of the glazing, giving the seating area a softer light without blocking the view out.

Application: Interior window treatment
Product used: Metal Coil Drapery

Green Space — Mesh Curtain

Large gold metal coil drapery curtain in a hotel atrium

A sculptural metal coil drapery installation in a hotel atrium. The curtains are hung in sweeping tiers so the mesh forms a continuous flowing surface, catching the lighting above and making the drape itself the feature of the space rather than a screen around it.

Application: Atrium feature installation
Product used: Metal Coil Drapery
