Rope woven mesh is made from stainless steel wire rope rather than single wires. The ropes are woven into a flexible net with much higher breaking load than a wire cloth of the same opening, which is why it is used where the mesh has to stop a person or an animal.
Gecho supplies it in AISI 304 and 316, in 7×7 and 7×19 cable construction, with the rope diameter and mesh opening setting the strength and the visual density.
When the mesh is specified without sleeves it is more transparent and delivers practically the same strength values, which suits balustrade infill and enclosure panels where sightlines matter.
